Continuing from West to East the first town you come to is Trinità d’Agultu, this farming town developed and expanded into what it is today after the 18th Century. The area that surrounds it is of particular interesting especially along the coast.

The Isola Rossa is part of this coastal area. This small holiday resport has numerous beaches and a beautiful Spanish tower that dominates the surrounding rocks The landscape is dominated by red rocks the “red rocks” in turn gives the nearby seaside town its name. The Marinedda beach is situated to the east, not far from Canneddi Point; this area, that stretches as far as Costa Paradiso remains mostly untouched and it has an extraordinary naturalistic value.
Costa Paradiso is a vast tourist resort, its name now identifies the whole area which has the more suitable name of Li Rosi Marini. This area is home to the beautiful Li Cossi beach. It lies at the mouth of a bay, which in turn lies in a river valley with walls of pink porphyry rock.

Further West there is yet another beautiful beach. Tinnari beach is made up of red and grey porphyry pebbles that over the years have been made smooth by the wind and the sea. It is surrounded by the thick vegetation of the hilly escarpments encompassing it.
A bit further on in the area of Aglientu there are lots more beautiful beaches that stretch along the coast.
These include the beach at Vignola with its vast shoreline, and the fabulous coastal area of Monti Russu, a picturesque headland of red rocks that encompasses a lovely bay.
