The seaside town of Santa Teresa di Gallura is a much loved holiday destination. This small town was founded during the 19th century and it became a popular holiday resort during the 1960s.
Its excellent beaches, facilities and tourist attractions are an important feature of this lovely town. The harbor is dominated by the Longosardo tower.

The Rena Bianca beach is one of the busiest and most popular beaches is situated in the centre of the town. The Marmorata beach is further East and the views from this particular location, looking onto the coast of Corsica and the islands of the Maddalena Archipelago, are extraordinary. Further west is the Capo Testa promontory, this headland has a rounded shape and is characterized by rocky masses that undergone massive sea and wind erosion over the ages.

The western side of the headland opens into the Santa Reparata bay with its beach of the same name; further along is the Cala Spinosa beach. From here a path leads to the western area of Capo Testa, to the lighthouse of the same name. The grey, granite rock formations at this point on the coast have been eroded into thousand of different shapes and sizes and they are piled onto further rock formations that descend into the sea. Further West you come to the Valle della Luna, or Valley of the Moon, an immense fracture in the granite rocks, that has a beauty and majesty that is breathtaking.

Just a few kilometers further on you come to Palau. This town started out as a modest pier connecting the islands of the Madallena Archipelago. Today it is a working harbor town and holiday village that has boats running to all the surrounding islands.
